The Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman has on 24 April 2012 released a guide 'Prepare a data balance sheet'. The data balance sheet is a knowledge management report based on an internal review, which aims to help organisations assess their data processing practices. It may also be used to report key data processing issues to the organization's stakeholders. The data balance sheet is intended as a dynamic tool, which supports the efficiency, impact, and competitiveness of the organization.
